Audi A8 AdBlue Warning Light

Audi A8 AdBlue Warning Light

Your Audi AdBlue system is more than just a “fancy” liquid for reducing Diesel emissions; it’s a sophisticated assembly of injectors, sensors, pipes, and pumps.

At Cheltenham and Gloucester Autocentre, we pride ourselves on having a team of Audi experts who understand the ins and outs of all AdBlue systems. They possess the knowledge and hands-on experience to identify and address any issue during the first visit.

Our approach combines this expertise with our 15-step diagnostic process, ensuring that we fix issues correctly the first time, leaving no stone unturned. You save time, money and stress with us.

This commitment to excellence was evident when our client brought their Audi A8 to us. They reported that the AdBlue warning light was on, and upon further inspection, they discovered a white crust forming on the engine.

As you can imagine, this isn’t what you want to see on your Audi’s AdBlue system.

Our client had previously taken their Audi A8 to another local garage to address the AdBlue issue, resulting in a piping replacement. However, the leak persisted despite the new pipe (and an expensive repair bill).

This left our client with a costly repair bill without the issue being solved – which is far from ideal.

Thankfully, they chose to bring their Audi A8 to our experts at Cheltenham and Gloucester Autocentre for a closer inspection.

Cheltenham and Gloucester Autocentre Audi Garage Diagnosis

When the client brought their vehicle to our Audi specialists at Cheltenham and Gloucester Autocentre, they were confident they could solve the Audi AdBlue problem.

To start, our experts completed a comprehensive visual examination of the engine, ensuring there were no other issues with the client’s Audi.

Following this, they conducted an exhaustive test of the AdBlue system using their decades of experience, skills, and technical know-how of all things Audi. During this test, our team verified the AdBlue’s quality was optimal and wasn’t the cause of the issue.

They then assessed the system pressure, which ideally should range between 4.5 and 5.5 bar. Finding the pressure within this range, their focus shifted to the AdBlue Injector System.

In their detailed examination of the Injector, they closely inspected the system for leaks, optimal pressure retention, spray pattern, and the quality of injection.

Unfortunately, the Audi AdBlue Injector failed on all counts. The root of the problem was traced to a blockage in the Injector, which was creating excessive pressure and causing the system to leak.

Given the severity of the blockage, the solution was clear: the system required a new AdBlue Injector and seal to bring it back to optimal function.

How We Repaired The Audi A8

Now that the cause of the Audi A8’s Adblue issue was found, our experts rang the client to explain our findings and the solution to the problem.

Our client was pleased we’d found the root cause and gave us the green light to proceed with the necessary repairs.

At Cheltenham & Gloucester, we only begin working on your vehicle when you say so. You’re in complete control from the moment you enter our garage.

Once our experts had the go-ahead, they sourced a genuine Audi AdBlue Injector and seal replacement.

As an Audi specialist, we take pride in our commitment to using only genuine Audi parts or high-quality equivalents in our repairs, maintenance and servicing. Doing so ensures you receive a high-quality fix while getting excellent value for money.

In the case of the Audi A8, we installed a brand-new Injector and seal, adhering to our strict standards of using authentic Audi components.

After the replacement parts were fitted, we repeated the AdBlue system tests, and this time, the Audi passed with no signs of an issue. We even took the A8 for an extended road test to be sure it was back in complete working order.

Our client was over the moon to have their Audi A8 back working perfectly again. And they were even happier to see the bill, which was better value than the main Audi dealership.

At Cheltenham and Gloucester Autocentre, our Audi Specialists understand the importance of addressing the root cause of issues, not just the symptoms. Our meticulous 15-step evaluation process gives us a comprehensive understanding of the entire vehicle, not just the specific fault that triggered a warning light.

You always get a quality, first-time fix with us without any guesswork, saving you time, money and repeat garage visits.
